Sorry, You're not my type!

As I ask myself, “why the hell do I have to work so hard to lose weight? I eat healthy and I exercise every day, so why is this still hard for me?” If you are like me you are probably asking yourself the same question. Now, I have the answer for you.




Do you know your type? Your body type, that is… Well, here is the great news! Knowing your body type will help you gain a bettter understanding of your nutritional needs in order to enhance your results. Body type describes how one may store and distribute muscle and fat. According to the International Sports Science Association here is a basic chart which helps you to understand your type including macronutrient needs:





So now what? Take your daily caloric goal, and break down those calories accordingly. For Example, someone that is a Ectomorph body type and requires 1600 calories per day, should get 400 calories of Protein (1600x.25), 880 calories of Carbohydrates(1600x.55), and 320 calories of Fat(1600x.20).

Health is Above All Else

Sometimes when we think of weight loss we think of it as a way to slim down and fit into our new clothes. But what most people fail to remember is that health is above all else and that comes with an array of things. A combination of good exercise, proper nutrition, and stress free lifestyle can bring on good health. There are many benefits from this. You lower your risk for heart diseases, less depression, less risk for diabetes. These are all life altering diseases that can disable you. So when you think about fitting into your skinny jeans its time to start thinking about fitting into your skinny genes and lower your risk for heredetary diseases as well. Achieving Your Goals

Goals are an important part of attaining the life you want. But sometimes we may go after a goal with lack of direction. Whatever your goal may be here are some tips to get you focused, passionate and ready to achieve your dreams.

1- Write it down. It is important to write down what your goals are.

2- Turn it into milestones. A goal has many tasks, turning those individual tasks into milestones will allow you to reach your bigger goal.

3- Date it. Put a date on each milestone. This way when you complete one you feel one step closer, more focused and like you have accomplished something.

4- Get support. Find people that will keep you motivated and focused on your goal. This can be friends, family, Lifestyle Coach, or Personal Trainer.

5- If you stumble keep the faith. If you stumble do not worry keep going and use it as a learning experience to help you never make those same mistakes.

Dress for Your Success

The way you look is important. First impressions is a reality. Here are some top tips for making sure your dressing for your body type and to make that first impression a great one so that it sets the tone for the rest of the time to come.

1- Attain essentials. For men a nice pair of black slacks, with a white collared shirt. For women black cardigans, white shirts, and black slacks or black skirt.

2- Spend money on things of quality. Spend less on things that are in the moment, that are trends.

3- Make sure your shoes are always in good condition. There is no need to spend more money on shoes sometimes a good pair of shoes can be spruced up when you get a new heal. Take them to a shoe repair shop.

4- Make sure that you wear colors that enhance your skin tone and complexion.

5- Enjoy creating your own sense of style that is appropriate for your age.
